When carrying out maintenance on outboard motors, the following four points must be done well:
1. Evacuation of steam separation equipment: Release the metabolic tube from the clip at the lower left corner of the engine cover. Let the pipe end housing face both sides of the engine lower shell. Use a commercially available flat-blade screwdriver to loosen the vapor separation device. Tilt the outboard motor upwards. Place the outboard motor diagonally and drain the steam separation equipment. After thoroughly draining, tighten the drain screw tightly. Clamp the metabolic tube on the cover of the machine.

2. Fuel: Motor gasoline will be mildewed due to factors such as exposure, temperature and time. In the worst case, car gasoline will suffer environmental pollution within 30 days. The use of environmentally-polluted vehicle gasoline will cause serious damage to the engine (the fuel system software is blocked, the gate valve is stuck). The damage caused by fuel mildew is not covered by the warranty.

3. Placement of the outboard motor: When transporting and storing the outboard motor, be sure to start at a vertical or horizontal position (as shown in the figure below). Connect the tailstock and the outboard motor support frame, and fix the outboard motor with anchor bolts and nuts. The outboard motor should be stored in a naturally ventilated, dry and sun-free area.

4. Battery storage: disconnect the rechargeable battery wire of the negative (-) terminal of the battery, and then disconnect the rechargeable battery wire of the positive (+) terminal of the battery. Remove the battery and clean the battery terminal and rechargeable battery wire terminal with a steel brush or sanding paper. Use an aqueous solution of soda and warm water to clean the battery. Take care to prevent the aqueous solution and water from entering the rechargeable battery. Then dry the battery thoroughly. Fill the battery with pure water higher than the line of all level gauges. Never fill the battery with too much pure water. Place the battery level in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area to prevent sun exposure. Check the ratio of lithium battery electrolyte once a month and charge the battery according to the need to increase battery life.
